This is a shawl I just finished for my Mother for Christmas.
I went to the local yarn shop and saw one on display made with a very nice, but expensive yarn.
I chose to use a blended yarn called Broadway, and used a Bernat Matrix ribbon type yarn that I added for the fringe. I am very pleased with how it turned out! It was very quick!!!
Use 17 circlulars
Cast on 17 stitches and then knit as you would on regular needles.
Increase on first stitch on each row until you get to 94 stitches. Then knit last row with no increase and bind off. Add fringe and you are done!
The photo doesn’t do it justice…it was a cloudy day today~!
That’s really lovely. Yeah, the colours are so nice, it will go with everything. I need a big needle project soon, have to keep this in mind. btw, I live on Broadway, look down on Broadway every day, ha. But I don’t know the yarn!
Here is a link to the Broadway yarn I used in my shawl. The price here is much more then what I paid! But it gives you a better look at the colors and fibers blends it is made of.
These shawls are quick and easy. A nice project to sit and watch tv with!
My son was home sick today and wanted me to watch tv with him so I made a shawl for me for Christmas! And I finished another one yesterday!
The beige one is made with Patons Glittalic Cream Gleam held with a strand of Bernat Matrix Copper Wire.
The Christmas one is gorgeous and I think sunlight would make the picture so much better, but I just took them at 10pm!
My shawl is made with Party Ribbon and the color is Roses and held with a strand of Fizz Stardust .
