I live in upper Pennsylvania and went to Virginia Beach to visit My daughter. Anyone from Pennsylvania near Lake Erie will know the winters we have. Thought we would get away from the snow for a week. IT SNOWED 8 inches in Virginia Beach last week. So I went to Walmart, bought a set of needles and a big skein of yarn and knitted my daughter a scarf. Couldn’t believe how it turned out. I just learned how to knit 4 weeks ago. Can’t wait till retirement…lol
That’s a really great scarf and your first one. Congratulations on a job well done.
It’s warm, cozy, and looks terrific too.
Well done, it looks great.
You did an awesome job, especially for being such a new knitter!!
Thank you. Now my wife and other daughter want one too…Maybe I’ll make a hat to match them. I love making stuff
Doesn’t it feel good when someone really wants something you’ve made? I’ll be making socks till forever since I made them for my daughter. My son had to have some, then my SIL, then both grandkids, now daughter bought more sock yarn… I
it!
Great looking scarf. You’ve knit this beautifully.
Definitely, on to making hats and who knows what else!
It’s beautiful and your daughter certainly looks really happy to have it. I’m in Michigan so I sympathize with you re the winters. I knit a lot of small objects like socks, hats and cowls. I like that I can make and wear something quickly, so does my husband as he’s also a recipient of my work!
Wow! Nice scarf. Love the colors!
Good job! The way this winter is going, she will probably get quite a bit more use out of the scarf before spring! LOL
Great job! It looks so warm! On to the next one
That is fantastic! It certainly is hard to complain about being snowed in when you can knit
The scarf is beautiful!!! It looks like one I just finished for my nephew. Did you use the Lion Brand Homespun?
Great looking scarf and it sure looks like it will keep you warm.
You did a wonderful job and it looks so pretty and warm!
It looks very very nice and cozy! I like the watercolor effects of the yarn!
Great Job Well Done !!!
There is nothing like our first scarves!!! Always the warmest and the coziest! And of course filled with happy memories! Great job!!!
