Mixing dk and 4 ply

Hello,

I am fairly new to knitting but have been making a baby blanket, all is going well except from the fact that I have run out of the pink yarn I was using (Peter pan, Wendy, double knit in baby pink 305). I can’t seem to find them same yarn anywhere. However, I have found the same colour and same brand but it is 4 ply instead. It says baby knitting on the website page. Will I be able to use this instead? I don’t want to have to start from scratch but wasn’t sure if I’d be able to mix the two yarn types?

Any help or advice would be appreciated, or if anyone knows where I can get the same yarn :blush:

Welcome!
The DK seems to be a true DK, knitting at about 24sts/4inches. The 4-ply is a bit lighter in weight.

If you can you might knit a swatch with some of the 4-ply and compare the fabric, texture and gauge to your blanket so far.
