Our local Michaels did a “new” yarn department a couple of years ago - the only difference I noticed is that they brought in a bunch of yarn under some brand name I’d never heard of. I didn’t much care for it.
You mean the Loops and Threads brand? That’s Michaels house brand.
I bought some Patons Grace yarn in the Skye color and I didn’t get enough and when I went back less than a week later, they had put it on clearance it and every ball in the color I needed was gone. I had knitted a bag out of it since it was cotton yarn and didn’t have enough for the straps. So I guess I will have to use a different color like clay to finish it.
