I’m trying to find a sweater for my 30-yr old BF but he’s fashion-conscious and picky. :tap: The patterns below are along the lines of what he wants, but I can’t seem to find good websites to browse. I’m happy to pay for a pattern. He wants a pullover, not a cardigan. I want something interesting but not too daunting, like tons of cables or something. We were both leaning toward Jamesey because of the nice gansey pattern until I learned that cotton is a pain to use.
I wasn’t sure if I could use a cotton blend with the Jamesey pattern because it’s intentionally shrunk in the first washing. Would a cotton blend still shrink well?

Using a blend would give a slightly diff look and you wouldn’t do the hot wash/dry step in the finishing. Just make the size to fit…not with the idea of shrinkage. I’d venture to say many versions of that sweater have been made with subbed yarns that weren’t 100% cotton.
