I’m having a hard time finding a cuff down Mens rib sock pattern. The size needs to go up to a size 11 at least. If anyone knows of a pattern, I will love you forever~!
I am guilty of not knitting my hubby any socks after he’s asked so many times.:shifty:
I was going to make him a pair from the toe up pattern in the summer issue of the last IK. They have a little tutorial and then the pattern in the following pages and the socks are ribbed. There is also a chart for foot sizes from childrens to adults. He’s got large and fat feet so I figured toe up would be right for him to get a good fit.
There’s this:

I think you’d be really helped by Sensational Knitted Socks. It teaches you how to figure out how many stitches to CO and how to adjust things. The above is for worsted weight. For fingering weight, I’d CO either 64 for smaller sized mens calves or 72 for larger calves. I made a couple pair of these doing the above patten in fingering weight.
Those socks from knitty are prefect but I don’t think I could get gauge with my yarn. I’m using KP’s Memories yarn. I’ll have to check out that book. Thanks!
Check out “knitting pure and simple” They have a pattern for light weight sock with womens and mens pattern on it. Great pattern for basic sock.
I use the pure and simple sock patterns for all my socks. My husband has a high instep and fat little feet to boot. They come out just right for his feet and mine. I bought all of there patterns and use them all the time
