Just wondering if there is a gadget to measure how much yarn you have? Like a partial skein, how do you know how much you have left?
Do you mean weight or yardage? I have a kitchen scale that I weigh mine on I can do ounces or grams, from there I can make a pretty good guesstimate of yardage. I think there are devices for measuring yardage but I’m not sure how they work. HTH
I use the same method that GG uses, the kitchen scale but you could use a niddy noddy.

I’d never heard of this before, not having much need to measure fishing line. There are also a couple of more suggestions including the reference to the Knitter’s Review article.
