I am new to this site, but joined as I would really appreciate some help with this Martin Storey Parsley baby cardigan pattern!
The instructions say the front and back are knitted in one piece on circular needles. But it doesn’t say whether to join and knit in the round, or to knit flat using back and forth technique? Knitting flat would make most sense for a cardigan that needs a front opening, but then why use circular needles?!
Sorry if I am being slow here, I have just never come across a cardigan pattern knitted like this before.
Don’t join to knit in the round. As you say, knitting flat makes sense for a cardigan. The circular needle is used to accommodate a large number of sts.
