I am at the arm section page 41-42 where you knit a square and then that square is situated in between two cast-on sections. Then end of the square ends with ws cut yarn after last stitch. Then vs1 has cast-on 19 stitches. I have heard that she usually means knitted cast on but that gives you the working yarn way far away from the square when you are done. Does she intend for me to cast on 19 then knit over to the square knit the square and then cast on. Won’t that leave the 3rd section of the vs1 a row shorter? I am so confused.
Stunning blanket pattern! Thank you for posting the link.
I’m not sure precisely where you are but in general it will be ok that one square is one row shorter (or longer) than another. It would help to see your knitting so that we can understand where you are casting on the sts. If you could post a photo of your knitting using the landscape icon at the top border of the Reply box that would be helpful.
Above are the instructions I am working on. You see on the first page how we are building squares on top of each other. The square I am starting on is actually not a whole square. So I think the edges should be straight across. I don’t know.
Thanks for the post. Don’t worry about the extra row on this square. It might be more of a concern on the mitred squares but should be ok here.
Can you delete all but the 2nd and 4th photos please? We can’t post large portions of patterns on the forum due to designer copyright. Use the pencil icon at the bottom of your post to edit.
I hope I deleted what you wanted. I guess I’ll try it and see if it is wonky.
