Malabrigo scarf

I have some fabulously delicious mmmmmmalabrigo that I am going to make a scarf out of. I can’t decide what the perfect pattern would be though. I was thinking maybe the Irish Hiking scarf. Opinions???

Here is what the colorway looks like:

I love the Irish Hiking scarf. I think My So Called Scarf would look great too! (Sheep in the City blog/website)

I made a scrunchable with it and it’s lovely. I’ve yet to post a picture, though. The Irish Hiking scarf would be nice, though, too.

I second the vote for the so called scarf. I swatched some malabrigo and the tweedy look with the varigated yarn is beautiful. I personally think that cables look best in a solid color.

I made a My So Called scarf out of my malabrigo and it worked really nice with the colors… I think the irish would be a good choice too… let us know how it turned out :cheering:

Here is a photo of it… I made fetchings too so my scarf isn’t very long just enough to cross and tuck in my jacket which is ok with me… I didn’t take a photo of it by itself :??

I agree…I love Irish hikingin solid and My So Called Scarfin var. yarn.

Thanks for your input! I forgot about my so-called scarf. I think I have been intimidated by it because it sounds confusing.

I’ll have to buy more malabrigo in a solid for the irish hiking scarf because I do want do knit that too.

Altough I haven’t made the scarf, I did swatch it and it was not hard. Can’t wait to see your scarf!

Is that Damask Rose? I have some longies (nto by me) in that for my 13mo, and just bought some to knit her a matching hat. That colorway knits up nice! I just knit a hat in the Azu colorway…just awesome! Love Malabrigo here!

I LOVE that colorway! I wrote the A Touch of Whimsy Scarf using malabrigo yarn

You might also think about this Short Row Rib Scarf. I’m pretty sure KK used Malabrigo to make one, and the colors were fabulous.

I’m making one right now with Noro Kochoran. It’s pretty easy and fast and shows off color changes in the most amazing way.

Can’t wait to see what you decide on!

oooh, even more choices! The Touch of Whimsy scarf is beautiful Rebecca!! I love the Short Row Rib too!!

The colorway is Cognac BTW. I fell in love with it when I saw it. I knew I wanted to make a scarf right away so I could wrap myself up in all its lusciousness!!

I just finished this one with one skein of Malabrigo!
