Hi there, I have just completed the 3 pieces for a Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino ‘Garter Stitch Matinee Jacket’ downloaded from Lovecrafts (no designers name). The back body and sleeves are all in one, as are the left front + sleeve and right front + sleeve. I am at the ‘To Make Up’ point but don’t understand how the 2 needles work on the shoulders and where it asks you to turn the work around. I’d be very grateful for any clarification. Thank you
This is very sweet.
The bind off is a three needle bind off.
If you work the sleeve bind off with right sides (public sides) facing there will be a ridge or seam when you turn back the cuff. The Debbie Bliss pattern bind off avoids this by starting out for the length of the cuff with the wrong sides (private sides) facing then turns to make the right sides facing.
If you don’t mind the neat seam showing when the cuff is turned up, then go ahead and work the bind off all the way with right sides together.
Thank you ,loved the video, such clear instructions, and with your explanation I now understand how this works, great!
