I’m new to knitting was wondering if someone could explain to me in simple terms how to do a make knot?
Are you talking about a knot to join a new colour of yarn? I never ever make knots in my projects, they show, and look ugly. If you cannot add new yarn at an edge, just add your new yarn and start knitting with it, but make sure you leave a longer tail on both sides, than go back later and duplicate stitch your tails in… IMHO
If your make knot is in a row instruction, it sounds like a special stitch. It should be defined somewhere in the pattern. Speaking of, what is your pattern name? If its a free pattern we can see the instructions and be better able to advise.
