m-make one purl st ( purl into the horizon bar between st just worked and next st)
I am making a cable hat and I am not sure what this means… can anyone help?
Pick up the yarn strand between the st on your right and left needles. Purl into it so it makes a twisted st (so there won’t be a hole) and you’ve got it. There’s a video on the increases page for the purl below the M1 knit.

A make one is always an increase. Some people even write patterns that say ‘make one’ when they mean a kfb increase.
I get confused by the explanations and acronyms. 
I am also very forgetful right now so the fact that I have actually seen and done this stitch before had totally slipped my mind replaced by a big ? ! Thanks for the answer!
