Hello friends, I am knitting a vest with “ double seed stitch “ however I don’t know what row I am in now. Any help in how to recognize my place??
You should be able to look at the previous rows of double seed stitch and predict what the next row should be. Stretch out the row below the one on the needle and see where there are Vs and where there are bumps. Look at the row below that and note the Vs and bumps. That may help put you back on track.
It might also help to guess at the next row and after a few sts, see if the pattern looks correct. Sometimes it’s easier to see a break in pattern. Make note of the row you’ve tried.

So frustrating😢 I took a picture of my project, then it doesn’t allow me to send it. It says something went wrong, but I don’t know what I did wrong. Perhaps I am not very good on using the site😩

If the photo is saved in your files you can navigate to it using the portrait icon. Once it starts to upload just wait a few moments until it says 100% complete as there is a short delay.
I am trying to send the picture again, hopefully it works this time.
Make sure the photo isn’t too large and a jpeg format will work (others may too).

Glad to see it woked. I’ll let someone else figure out the row as I’m not really familiar with double seed stitch. Cheering you on though, your knitting looks lovely, it’s going to be a great vest.

If you are ready to knit the row (your working yarn is on the right end of the needle) then it looks like you would repeat the row below, that is knit the Vs and purl the bumps.
Is the gold marker marking the RS of the piece?
