Loosest Bind Off Method

I’d like to know what the loosest bind off method is; I’m working on back ties for a sun dress. My usual bind off is knit two, slip the first stitch over the second, *knit one, slip the first stitch over the second, repeat from *, but it’s too tight for what I’m making.

Thank-you.

Here are two videos that may help: loosest bind off and another. Alternatively, you can do you usual bind off, but go up one or two needle sizes on the right hand needle for a looser bind off.

I don’t know which ones salmonmac linked to, so they may be the same as my suggestion. Knit the first 2 sts, then slip them to the L needle and knit tog tbl; k1, knit these 2 tog tbl and repeat. You don’t have to slip the sts back to the L needle, you can insert it into the front of the stitches on the R needle and ktog, like you do for ssk.

This is my favorite loose bind off. I can’t stand Cat Bordhi, but the bind off is excellent.

Thank-you kindly for all the help; I’ve gotten the ties bound off and pretty now. I think I may post a photo of when I finish the sun dress.

Jan I agree this a great loose bind off. I highly recommend it.
