Hi
I’m knitting my first pair of socks on dpn’s.
I noticed when i’m switching from one needle to the next that the stitch in between both needles is very loose. I’m pulling very hard and trying to knit it as tight as i can but the loose stitch is still appearing 3 times a round ( in between all 3 needles ).
I’m just wondering what I am doing wrong…
Thanks
Christine
You’re doing nothing wrong', that just happens with socks and dpns, see the threads that talk about
ladders’. If pulling the stitch tight doesn’t help, try knitting the next couple stitches from the next needle before you switch needles. That at least puts the loose stitches in different places. Also, when you block or wash the socks, that should even out the stitches.
