Looking for Tips on How to Start Crocheting and Knitting Together!

Hello fellow crafters! I’ve been crocheting for a little while now and recently started learning how to knit. I love both crafts, but I’m finding it a bit challenging to combine the two in my projects. I was wondering if any of you have experience with mixing crochet and knitting? What are some tips or techniques that can help me blend these two crafts effectively? Also, are there any beginner-friendly projects where both crochet and knitting can be used together? I would appreciate any advice or resources you can share. Thank you!

Hello
I don’t know much about this but I do know Drops have combined patterns. Often something like a crochet flower or lace trim of crochet on a knitted project but sometimes the crochet is an integral part of the pattern. I can’t think of a way of searching or filtering the search results for these combined projects, I just know I’ve seen them.
Here are a few just for starters

My only real tip for combining is to gauge swatch for each. Even if you were to just add a crochet trim on a knit project it is very helpful to work a sample to ensure the tension works and doesn’t cause waving or puckering.
I hope others have some useful patterns and tips for you.

I Googled “patterns with both knit and crochet” and got a few.

The designer Annie Lupton apparently does this a lot!

This one isn’t so much a pattern as how to transition from one craft to another, so that might be helpful?

Have fun, and we’d love to see what you create!
