Looking for Blanket Patterns for Baby Boy

2 of my co-workers are having baby boys and I would like to knit a blanket for each of them (2 different patterns, of course). I am doing the feather and fan pattern for another co-worker having a baby girl. (There must be something in the water that 3 of my co-workers are having babies at the same time.) I absolutely love how the feather and fan pattern is coming out. I would like to do something with lace work as that has, but is appropriate for baby boys.

Any ideas?
