I stumbled across a convertible hat the other day, but now I can’t find it. :wall: It was open on the top and closed with a drawstring. It could be worn as a cowl/scarf, a hat, or a hat with the top open so a ponytail can stick out. Does anyone know where I can find this pattern and has anyone made it? Thanks!
I saw that a week or two ago. I think it was in the Discussions and Questions forum at craftster.org under Topless hat. A link to someone’s blog or the pattern.

no ponytail in sight, but is this similar?
I think that’s the one I remember. Don’t know about booskibabe…

No, that’s not what I saw but it’s very close. Close enough, in fact. Thanks for your help! Now to find the right yarn at the right price… :happydance:
There’s a convertible hat on Knitty:
It doesn’t show a ponytail, but I don’t think there’s any reason you couldn’t wear the closure near the back of your head to accommodate one
