Looking for a good knit argyle sock pattern

I really really want to find a good pattern for a pair of knit (hopefully knee high) argyle socks, but every pattern I seem to find the socks look very bulky and the argyle doesn’t seem to be very nice or smooth looking. I really would like them to look nice and professional enough to wear to work under my dress pants.

Any ideas??

I believe that there is a sock knitting yahoo group. You might want to check in with them see if they have ideas. I did a google search but only found something on about.com, that didn’t really make much sense to me. Maybe someone else here has other ideas?
