Looking for a baby bib pattern

I have a sample square pattern, but that doesn’t look very good. I was looking for something a little more fancy. I am fairly good knitter and can work decreases and increases, etc. :happydance:

I was looking for maybe something that has more coverage and fits better that the square bib pattern that I have. I will be working it in a cotton yarn.

Thanks Colelea

thanks so much !!!

What about using a dishcloth pattern? They are very fancy and you can just add some I-cord for ties.

Here’s one that looks a little more “fitted”:

The pic (you have to click on a link to see it) doesnt flatter the pattern, really, and you could use any fancy dishcloth pattern inside the garter border…try here: http://www.jimsyldesign.com/~dishbout/kpatterns/knitting.html

I have made several of these [http://www.knitting-crochet.com/basweababbib.htmll] and they have turned out very nice. I did change the strap to be like the “simple baby bib” pattern that is listed in free patterns here in KH. Also, just a side note, I found that knitting the strap for 7 inches for the “simple baby bib” and “basketweave bib” is just too long. The strap only needs to be about 5 - 5 1/2 inches because once baby starts drooling the cotton yarn stretches and baby’s shirt gets all wet anyway . I told someone that I would post a picture of my bibs last Saturday. I did not, sorry. I will try to soon. Can someone tell me how to do it?
