Here are some stripey slippers from LTK that I have recently made.
The non-stripey one is the newborn size made for a friend who just delivered a 6lb 12oz baby girl yesterday. The match to this slipper is at another friends house, so that’s why I didn’t photograph it.
The blue/cream slipper is the size 4. I made it for my youngest son, but it is a little bit big for him yet (he’s 21 months, size 6 x-tra wide shoe) so I haven’t been a big hurry to make the other one.
These were really easy to make and were the first thing I ever made that I followed a pattern for. I also made a blue/cream stripe pair for my 4 year old and he LOVES them. They are so warm and comfy.
I tossed the labels on the yarns, but they are hand dyes 100% wool from my LYS. They are really yummy!
Those are darling. I envy your nice even stitches.
Not too long ago someone posted pictures of felted slippers that she wrote the child’s name on the bottom with rubbery paint to make them slip free.
Yea, I need to buy some puffy paint to put on the bottom of my oldest son’s. We have mainly hardwood floors and he’s always slipping around (he enjoys the slipping ).
I’ve had these on my “to-knit” list for months now, but other things keep bumping ahead. And my boys really need some slippers. Your pics are giving me inspiration.
