Does the jiffy pill when washed? What about the wool ease?
I don’t know about Jiffy, but I’ve used WoolEase and have not seen any pilling.
I have a long way to go before I finish my Jiffy sweater to wash it but it looks like it would. It’s so fuzzy I don’t see how it won’t, at least somewhat.
I made a cardi with Jiffy and have washed it a couple times. No pills, though it’s got a little fuzzier.
I was going to ask the same question. I have 9 skeins of Jiffy. I am hesitant to use it.
I have some Jiffy I was thinking about using for a throw for some one. I am just not sure about it. I also have some of the Wool Ease thick and quick that I could use.
I used Jiffy for my first sweater. Yes, it pilled some over time. Oh, and don’t knit it at 4sts/in - you will suffocate! I learned the hard way, since I got the yarn based on color and softness. Silly me.
I hardly ever knit at 4 sts/inch unless it’s really thin laceweight on large needles. I think I used a 13 when I made the cardi which made it about 3 sts to the inch.
I haven’t used Jiffy, but I have used wool-ease for several projects. It does pill somewhat, but it’s not too bad.
