Can anyone help with how to wash linen before I knit? Seems I read that it was better to wash first. Should it be left in the hank, only way I can think of without tangling. Thanks
I don’t know if it’s ‘better’, but can be done; it softens up after it’s washed but that’s usually after you knit it. Definitely leave it hanked up.
I’ve seen instructions to uncoil the hank, tie it loosely at several points around the circle of yarn and then gently wash. I’ve never done it though.
