Leg Holes!

I’m trying to knit a sweater for my dog but I can’t figure out how to make holes for her legs! I tried binding off a few stitches and carrying on to make the hole but then I couldn’t knit that row anymore because of the spaces! confused can anyone help?! :knitting:

When you get to the space that you bound off for a leg hole, cast on in that spot. You’ll get a slit for the leg. If you want a wider opening, you can work back and forth between the bound off parts and when it’s big enough, work all the way across, casting on over the holes.

There are also patterns here www.knittingpatterncentral.com .

Once you bind off for the legs, you will need to attatch a new ball of yarn to each section and knit them separately. When they are all the length you want, you will cast on those stitches in the gaps and rejoin the sections back to all one row again.

Okay thanks, I will try that right now!
