Hey ya’ll. I was wondering if any of you have used Lambs Pride Worsted weight yarn or Brown Sheep’s Cotton Fleece yarn. I just recently saw them in one of my LYS, and fell in love with all of the color selections. If you have any experiences with either of them please let me know so I can decide whether or not I should buy some tomorrow! (although I reeeeaaaalllyyyy should be saving my money; spent a ton of money on yarn this week already)
Thanks!
I love Lamb’s Pride worsted!! The colors are, as you note, delicious! And it is much softer when knit than it feels on the skein. I used it for felting and it looks beautiful–the felted object has a lovely fuzzy sheen!
I’ve heard it pills a lot if you use it for sweaters and such, though.
I adore Lamb’s Pride. I just bought 3 more skeins of bulky in this bright lime green, pretty pretty pink and a turquoise that I use a lot.
It’s gorgeous!
lambs pride worsted and bulky are my stand bys…i love them! they give a nice fuzzy felt but they can be a bit itchy. just make sure you are getting the right one. the two yarns will look basically similar but bulky doesn’t have as much on the skein as worsted!
Lamb’s Pride!
I’m using the Cotton Fleece for my daughters dress and really like it… I think its going to be soft for her and knits up very nicely… I like lambs pride and use it when I can…
Thanks so much guys for all of your imput! Its good to know that Lamb’s Pride can be itchy and that it pills on sweaters and such because that’s what I was going to use it for!
Lamb’s Pride mmmmm
Good colors, good for felting, good thinkness, just good good good
I am currently knitting the Kitty Pi with Lamb’s Pride Bulky and I must admit…I LOOOVE Lamb’s Pride wool now. I may buy the worsted weight for ALL projects I do. It is a beautiful yarn. I finally know what Jess Hutchison is going on about with knitting all her projects with Lamb’s Pride.
I am right now felting a pair of clogs for dh in Lamb’s Pride worsted. I LOVE IT! And since there’s so much on the skein, it’s not that expensive! I think I’ll have to make myself some clogs now!
