Hello,
Is there a way to avoid the jog when knitting ladder stitch in the round? That one ladder always looks different than the others no matter what I try. Is there a technique I’m missing?
Thank you in advance
Is the ladder right at the start of round? It might be better to move it away from the join. Because you’re knitting in a spiral, the end of round is always going to be higher than the beginning of round.
I did try that but it still seemed to look weird. The stitch above hung low and I didn’t get a distinct ladder. Hard to explain. I was almost finished with what I was knitting but it started to really bug me so I ripped it all out. Too frustrated. lol
I even knit the stitch first and put it back on the left to knit it again thinking it would work but it didn’t. Wherever the first ladder stitch was, it was messed up a tiny bit. Enough to bug me.
There are ways of avoiding a jog when you knit stripes in the round by slipping the stitch in the new color on the second round but I don’t see how to use that for a ladder stitch.
