Lacework on dpns

What to do when there’s a yarn over at the end of a dpn - is it okay to bring the yarn over onto the next needle? Is it necessary to leave all the same stitches together on one dpn throughout the project, or is it okay to transfer some to the next dpn? I’m afraid I will twist my knitting or get confused.

It can be quite a good idea sometimes to move stitches from one DPN to another. Make sure you are inserting your needle purl wise when slipping the stitches over thought o avoid them becoming twisted.

It is quite alright to rearrange them so that you are not confused and the yo can be placed on the next needle. To mark my beginning, I usually place my round marker when this occurs.
