Hello,
I hope you are well?
I’ve made a start on a lace panel jumper. I’m stuck now I’ve got to the raglans.
So it says to co 4 stitches at beg of next 2 rows. [66] stitches. I know how to do the co’s.
What I’m unsure is what happens about the st-st each side of the panel!
It’s not obvious to me about that.
I believe the pattern is
(yfwd, k3tog, yfwd, k3, yfwd, s1, k2tog, psso, yfwd)
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thank you
Sharon xx

What is the name of your pattern and designer please? If it’s a King Cole pattern, what is the pattern number?
If you still have stockinette sts either side of the lace panel once you’ve reached 33cm, then those sts will be used for the edge k2sts and the raglan decreases.
It’ll help to know the pattern you’re using and the designer.
Very nice! So the stockinette sections will decrease as you create the raglan seam. The lace panel stays intact.
mmm, yes but whatnI can’t get my head around is do I continue as before?
It’s just not clear to me rownon row.how.many stocking stitches each side.
It will make this easier if you place markers either side of the lace panel. Then it essentially doesn’t matter how many stockinette sts there are between the raglan decreases and the lace panel. You can just k2, make the raglan dec, knit to the marker, work the lace panel up to the marker, continue in stockinette until 4sts remain, dec and k2.
Of course you need to keep track of the stitch count since the pattern has you knit to 34sts or keep watch on the number of times (15 times) that you repeat the 2 raglan decrease rows but you don’t need to count stockinette sts every row.
That makes sense to me now thank you
