I am just curious if I need to have 3 circular needles to join the ruffle and main body if I am knitting in the round for this.
I know that I could put the body on a spare size 4 needle to hold, but my ruffle will be on the size 6 circulars that I have. And then I need to use another set of needles to join these together? Could I just transfer the ruffle to a size 5 needle and then use my size 6 needles to join them so the gauge will be correct when I do the last of the knitting?
whoops…just realized you don’t actually bind off. What you said would work fine. As long as you transfer the sts to a smaller needle and do the next row with the 6 so your gauge stays the same.
yep- this pattern is cool- the 3 needle join works great- I used a spare straight when I did it in 2 pieces on straights, and used a spare circ in the round.
