Yes, as a guy, I had a hard time finding a non-girly knitting bag. This thing is also indestructible. I put it on the floor of the commuter train, I carry it in the rain and snow, I stuff it and bang it around, and it really shows no wear. It stands up well on its own, and holds several projects at once.
I have never felt the cork, but people say it wears very well.
The bag was designed in conjunction with Knitty, and there are lots of great links to photos, reviews, etc.

My LYS gives a heavy duty zippered clear vinyl project tote to a customer on their first visit to the store. It’s the size of a large-ish purse. How very cool is that? It has become my new best friend, tote wise. 
Wow I wish the store I go to did that.
My old printer gave up the ghost today after almost 8 years of excellent service. :sad: So after dinner DH & I went shopping for a new printer. Verily, 'tis an awesome little 3-in-1 printer DH’s princess bride returned home with this cold and dreary evening. Here’s where the story takes an interesting twist.
DH: How cool, HP put the printer in a tote bag - this makes it so much easier to take out of the box.
Me: Awesome! A new knitting bag! I have to write HP a thank you note for giving me a new project bag for my knitting.
DH: You get a new printer and you’re excited about the bag they put it in??
I’m as excited as a little kid who’d rather play with the box her gift came in than the gift itself.
The tote is as wide as my dining room chair and half as deep! What an unexpected and pleasant surprise, a new printer and a new knitting bag.

What I did was made my own bag, the monk’s satchel. Found it in the book, Folk Bags by Interweave Press. I also occasionally use the Bag of Holding I found at Thinkgeek.
