Ahhhhh…I can always count on you-all (we say that in Virginia, you know) to brighten my day with your knottiness! :notworthy: Thanks!
Deb
And, I can always count on ALL Y’ALL to do the same for me! (That’s the PLURAL form…Half my family’s from Bama.)
No pun intended I bet huh.
It should be, "I can always count on all of you…
Beldie, sweetie, HOW can you POSSIBLY expect a Cheese Curd Eater to understand the intricate nature of SOUTHERN U.S. language??? THe plural of “Y’all” IS “All Y’all”!
pats Kelly’s head
Kelly, sweetie, darling…I wouldn’t have thought that Illinois would be considered southern US, but if you want to be like that, it’s okay. I’ll still pat your head.
I thought I cleared this up somewhere else, but I do not eat cheese curds. I am lactose intolerant and possibly allergic to milk. I am in the process of doing research to cut out all dairy from my family’s diet.
Kelly is purring
As i said above, half of my family is from Alabama.
 OMG! Life without CHEESECAKE?!?!?! Now I had better pat YOUR head, Beldie!!!
Have I ever told you, Beldie, that I absolutely ADORE the Canadian sense of humor??? MUAH!
(that’s how you spell a BIG SMOOCH, no matter WHERE you are from!)
You make fun of Americans too? :?eyebrow:
We spell “Big Smooch” like this: big smooch
As for no cheesecake… :crying: Also means no pizza, no lasagna, no chip dip, no cheeseburger, no Haagen Daaz and no chocolate milk :crying: :verysad: :crying:
I need a hug now.

Also, Im pouting for you!!
Beldie, we’re soy drinkers in this house, by preference. Have you discovered Silk’s Chocolate soy milk yet? I promise, you’ll never miss chocolate milk again! It’s way better IMHO. Soooo rich and delish, just like chocolate milk but more decadent. Also Soy Delicious “Cherry Nirvana” beats Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia to me. And you’ve got to try Rice Dream’s chocolate-covered cookie ice cream sandwich thingies. YUMMM!!
I’m mildly lactose intollerant, which is how I got onto soy products. I can have any dairy except straight milk by the glass. DH isn’t lactose intolerant, but when he tried my soy products, he got hooked on them. He’s absolutely addicted to Chocolate Silk. He also drinks regular soy milk instead of milk, because he likes the taste and consistency better, as do I. Although some soy milks I’m not as fond of. We like Vitasoy’s Original soy milk, for cereal and tea. Tastes the least soy-like of any plain soy beverage I know, and not too sweet. I love it.
Good luck on going dairy free!
I haven’t even heard of those brands, or at least I haven’t paid attention to them. I’ve had soy products before, so I do have some exposure. The only brand of chocolate soy milk that I remember is SoGood. At least I think that’s what it’s called. I picked up some soy cheese the other day: mozza and cheddar. They both seem to be okay.
If I’m allergic to milk, then I won’t be able to have some of these products either though, which will be really devastating. So far my experiments seem to be working and my most persistent symptom is going away.
I blew it today by having some chocolate pudding and am already starting to pay for it. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day. I’m willing to make sacrifices for chocolate
Thank you for your support. It is really a hard transition to take out even “part” of a food group (ie. just avoiding lactose vs avoiding complete dairy). Especially since I love all my food groups too. The other part that bothers me a lot about this, are the effects my decisions will have on my son. I still have to do a lot of research before I make any permanent decisions about my diet and my family’s diet.
That was a great hug. Thanks, I needed it
Beldie, the products I mentioned are all dairy free, I believe, except perhaps the chocolate in the Rice Dream sandwiches. The Silk chocolate milk is in the refridgerated section. Good luck! Here’s another Big Hug .
Oops, I forgot to comment on the Knotty part of this thread… Love the T-shirt idea! (As I mentioned in the T-shirt thread.) Not sure what the wording will be yet, but I’ll definitely do some Knotty wear! Let’sl brainstorm some more on the T-shirt thread.
