Which magazines do you feel you can’t live w/out?? Do you subscribe to more than one?

I’ll update the voting when I get more names of magazines – I’m running late right now and don’t have time to look for anymore!!

Vogue is another one.

I don’t subscribe to any. I just go through them in Borders and get the ones I like. I haven’t found any that have projects that consistantly agree with my tastes from issue to issue.

Vogue Knitting…#1, as a matter of fact, the new issue came out today and I’m hoping my :inlove: Sweetie brings it home for me :cheering:

I’m a beginner so I like the easier ones. So far Better Homes and Gardens Knit It is my fav. :thumbsup:

I like Family Circle Easy Knitting and a new one that just came out by vogue called KnitSimple.

I collect needlework mags from the 1910s-1930s. They usually have a range of topics and some wonderful knit and crochet patterns among the embroidery and other needle arts projects.

I like the two you posted best. I also get Vogue but I don’t like it as much.

VOGUE is great. Interweave too. I subscribe to both for the first time this past year.

Simply Knitting - UK publication … has loads of great patterns

I like Vogue Knitting of course, and I just got the new publication Knit Simple (I think that’s the title) last week and I flipped through it and I am not sure how I feel about it yet. Will take another one or two to make up my mind I think.

I agree about Simply Knitting! I ordered a subscription . The tone of the magazine is so friendly!

Just looked at “Yarn” on the net…I may have to order that as well!

Anyone get Rebecca–I’ve never actually seen one, except for online and it looked like a good one.

I find it hard to find a balanced knit mag that has great designs for an low level intermediate knitter. The designs or either too simple (knit a sq. and put it on) or too complex.

Rebecca is good if either you fit into the small size range of the patterns or know how to expand them for larger sizes. I think the patterns are very cute, but since I don’t fit into either of the above categories, I just browse them until I can actually use them. A friend of mine LOVES Rebecca - but then again, she is a skinny minnie and a much more advance knitter than myself.

I voted for Interweave. There’s just something about the styling of the magazine and the patterns that are in there that I prefer to the Creative Knitting or Easy Knitting zines. There’s generally not much in those that I would wear. And, yes I’m a snob, but I prefer a magazine that isn’t filled with Lion Brand ads for ponchos. I will pick up one of these from the store if I see something I like - like a recent one had a nice sock section, but I only subscribe to Interweave right now. I will soon subscribe to Spin Off, but that’s for spinning.

I think I know exactly the poncho you’re talking about. Is it the one made of Lion Suede? Yikes… when are they going to retire that ad? It looks like she’s wearing an afghan with a hole cut in it.

I like knitsimple and Creative knitting the best. I haven’t seen too many other mags. Some of the stuff in Vogue I like, but some of it is just too bizarre. Oh well, to each his own.

Another vote for Interweave and Simply Knitting. I really like Simply Knitting for the layout of the magazine. The typesize for the patterns is large enough to read without a magnifying glass, and the instructions are good.
