I have increasing mobility restrictions that make it both hard and painful to knit. (I don’t just mean with straight needles; I have been primarily using circulars for years now, with dpns as necessary.) A friend gave me a set of circular knitting looms to try as an alternative, and it works nicely – except for the fact that the gauge is huge. I like to do socks, and most of my stash is fingering- or sport-weight, and any attempt to do loom knitting with fine yarn would result in … disaster, pretty much.
Are there knitting looms that have finer gauges, especially ones designed for socks? And does anyone have any experience with them / know which brands are decent / etc?
