Knitting letters in a different color

Hi,

I am curious. :??

Which the best method to use (stranding/fair isle or intarsia) when adding lettering in a different color to something…like the end of a scarf or on the brim of a hat?

Intarsia is probably best, a strand of yarn for each letter. If you try stranded knitting for it, you stand a very good chance of puckering.
