Im completely new to knitting (skip this bit to the ANYWAY part if you don’t want to read my ramblings) i’ve been stuck on row two since last night and ive restarted 9 times, i know its only one row to redo but im getting frustrated to keep recasting and repeating the same row over and over cos i mess up on the second row. ANYWAY its the head to a fox toy, row two says “inc 12 stc (24)” now the row prior to that is “purl 12 (12)” ive watched all possible increase videos on youtube but not sure which type of increase im meant to be adding im assuming i need to double my Original 12 stitches to get 24 so when i tried to increase via m1 increase i ended up with 23 not 24 because tgeres no bar after the last knit I really dont know what im doing if someone could point me to the type of inc im meant to be doing id be so grateful!
knit, but don’t take the stitch off the needle - put the tip through the back loop, then pull the yarn through to make another stitch, and then pull that off the needle. You should now have made 2 stitches out of one.
