Knitting Baby Sweater

Hi! I’m making my first baby sweater but I got stuck in the pattern on some phrases like “work on each set of stitches separately” and “knit across stitches from both sides”…? If anyone could pllleeeaaasseee help it would be sooo appreciated!

Welcome!
What is the name of your pattern?
Sometimes patterns call for you to work the two shoulders on either side of a neck binf off at the same time. Use two balls of yarn or two ends from the same ball for each shoulder. In that way you work each set of sts separately, working across sts on each side.

Thank you! The pattern is Baby Sweater Knit Pattern by handylittleme.com. I got stuck on the neck area after it said to cast off the fourteen stitches and knit to the end of the row. I’ve never used two balls of yarn or two ends at the same time before (a newbie😬) I will try to learn how to do that… thanks again!

It’s sometimes easier to work both sides at the same time but you don’t have to do it that way. You could work the shoulder with the attached yarn first and when that side is finished, work the second shoulder.
Whichever way you choose, enjoy finishing up.

Thank you!
