ooo bears! Glen, your bear looks great!!! Are you going to make another one? Ekgheiy and I were talking a bit ago about starting a bear KAL. I’m doing one for a friend’s baby showr–I’ve cast on, ripped out, and o far that’s it (busy busy). But I have to get it going soon because the shower is in 2 weeks! I’m doing one from “Beautiful Bears” which is an English publication (actually, it might be South Africa), and it looks a LOT of fun. Hopefully I’ll have time to do a sweater for him, too
Oh yeah… I’ll definately make more bears… They’re fast & easy (at least my first one was). The one that I started this morning is much bigger & looks more complicated. The hard part is getting the face to look good…
How funny, I thought Matilda too!
You did that in one day?!?!? And you were asking US for help?!?!?
Great job! :cheering: OK I heard the name Matilda too when I saw it.
The bear turned out great, Glen!
MELT I want that ram!! He can be Edgar’s buddy!
Glen, the bear is AWESOME! Really, really impressive. Great job!! :cheering:
Very cute bears!
I love Sam the Ram, I just got that pattern and plan to make one of my very own, I was sort of thinking he’d look nice in a bright color though…but I haven’t decided on that just yet.
Hey Silver…
Where did you get the pattern for Edgar??? He looks like he’d be fun to make. Was he dificult to knit??
The patterns for Sam & Sue say that they are “FOR THE ADVANCED KNITTER”… That intimidates me a bit…
I second this one!!
Great, quick job Glen!!
:cheering: love this thread!! Being a bear collector I need to knit me some bears but have been a little skeereed to try LOL … right now i’m doing Christmas gifts right now hmmm… wonder if I could make a bear for someone…
Loved the bear!! Did a wonderful job
Nah, he wasn’t difficult. Mostly knit flat, with a lot of seaming. (But seaming can be difficult). I found him in “The World of Knitted Toys”. There’s LOTS of animals in there. You could knit yourself a yarn menagerie! I also made these two from the book, although I added the scarf to the bear myself. I made him a Coca-Cola Polar Bear for my sister who works for Coke. ![]()
Those are so cute! I think I have to put that book on my list
Whoo Hoo…!! I have that book Silver… I got it in the mail a couple days ago, & I haven’t had the chance to look at it…
