KnitPicks "Options" Needles?

Looks like the ladies at KnitPicks have come up with some ingenious interchangables… but are they all they’re cracked up to be?

I’ve been drooling over them ever since they came out… but I’m too scared to order them for fear of a disaster.

Anyone out there have them already?
