Knit grafiti

I will just have to settle for knitting clothes for the trees. Our little podunk town doesn’t have any statues…well, okay, the college campus where I work has several modern pieces that would be gorgeous with a little knitted embellishment, but because we deal with drunk college kids all the time…

Every statue/piece is in the middle of a pond. Large ponds. Deep ponds. Ponds that are NOT good swimming ponds. And too well lit for a boat. Hmmmn…there’s gotta be a way to get out there!:??

The problem is…if you are knitfitting something just to say that is your knitfitti, that kind of makes it vandalism without a social conscience…which isn’t nearly as cool.

There used to be one of them in Philly in front of the Four Seasons. They’re made buy one of the Johnson & Johnson heirs.

I think he’d look really cool with one of your pretty scarves.

I love your group, mission, and website! I hope you don’t mind I put a link to your gallery on my blog.

What a cool idea feministmama! I definitely think you should do something for that umbrell man!

I just love the idea of knitting graffiti. It’s just so original and awesome.

In my city, graffiti taggers have become much better (before they just scribbled on walls; now they do great murals). It’d be awesome to fill the city with knitting

I just need to finish some projects in mind and then will begin convincing some knitter friends to cheer the city up with me.

Love the scarf, adore the bod!
