Knit Curtains?

I was taking a bath the other day, in other words, trapped in a body of water with only my thoughts, and I thought to myself: I wonder if people knit curtains… I need curtains on my windows. The wonderful web showed me that, yes, people do knit curtains, though most of the photos I saw were lace-type curtains.
Anyone know any cool (semi-beginner/easy) patterns for curtains? I have bamboo needles size 5, 7, 8, 10 & 11 (straight needles) and one set of 24 inch size 7 circular needles.

There are 3 pages of curtains on Ravelry. Most probably are lacy because they’d be lighter. Heavier curtains would sag so they’d be longer fairly quickly. Anyway check Ravelry.

I see that website come up constantly on here. I think I’ll have to create an account alas. Thanks, Jan. Good tip on the weight of the curtain, I didn’t even think about that. I just don’t know how to do lace work and also I wanted something that would provide more privacy than a lace curtain.

You could make lace and then use a liner underneath.

Do join Rav, it’s such a fantastic resource!
