Hey everyone! I’m new here adn wanted to know if any of you used the Knifty Knitters!?
I do and I love them especially when I have a Tendonitis flare and can’t crochet or spin.I have made lots of things on them and will be teaching myself cables next.Normal knitting makes my finges ache badly and is frustratingly slow for me as well as i can’t unravel and re do my mistakes as easily as crochet. So for me the KKs and Looms are fantastic.
What are Knifty Knitters? Looms?
Knifty Knitters are yes looms pretty much here’s a pic of the round looms
they are very easy to use and are great! Even though I’m only 13 (turning 14 in 29 days!) My hands start to ache when I knit normal after like 15-30 min so I use these instead! Here are the long looms that you can make scarves and shawls pretty much anything!
You can get then at Wal-Mart for around 12.00 for a set of the round ones and about 20.00 for the long ones! You should try them out sometime!

I have both sets and I would like to make a baby blanket with them. i havent use them yet.
I also have a smaller flower one and a still smaller one. I’ve whipped up a couple of quick scarves on the flower one. I want to make school color scarves out of my Yarn Bee Airy yarn before football season for wither other cheer moms or Booster Club and I htink I can crank them out with that.

I’m game.
I did a hat for my Grandpa for xmas the year I learned to knit. I hadn’t learned circular knitting yet, so it was great for me.

I just make panels/squares and sew them together when I’m finished. You might want to try google knifty knitter patterns and a lot will show up.
Let us know what you come up with.
I just got a Knifty Knitter loom from debkcs as a gift for my charity knitting. I’m thinking of teaching some of my piano students to use them, so they can help me make things for charity. ![]()
That sounds great!!! What things are you making for charity?
Well, right now, I’m focusing on the Oddball Blankets and Oddball Shawls we’re making. Those are made with regular knitting needles.
I tried using the Knifty Knitter, and it’s obvious that I need to use very thick yarn, or double-stranded worsted weight yarn. Otherwise, the knitted item turns out very lacy.
So, I’m thinking I could get my piano students to make some thick hats for charity. ![]()
Sandy, you can make really darling little baby hats using the Knifty Knitter. That’s what my friend did with hers.
