Since Moshi has decided that he must sleep in boxes I decided that it was past time for me to make a kitty pi bed for him.
1st of all, I increased the size of the pattern because Mo is a huge (17 lbs) cat! I used double stranded WOTA and size 11 Options (love, love). I used 5 different colors and striped the bed using the fibonacci sequence. The colors that I chose are the colors that are in our rug so that it will match our home better than the boxes that he claims
Almost forgot…I didn’t include the fun fur yarn (simply because I don’t have any, nor have I ever had any, for some reason, I don’t seem to like it…perhaps one day) and used an icord bind off.

I want to make one of these, but I’m scared that Miss Monkers will not use it. Of course if I set it on top of something else, and pretend it’s not for her, she might get in it. She does have a thing lately for basket shaped beds.
How big did you increase the pattern? I have biggie kittes too, and have always wanted to make this for them! But since they are 14.5 lbs and 15 lbs respectively I didn’t want to insult them with ill fitting beds! :rofling:
Lonnie surprised me with Mo several years ago, he is the white-est (word?!), well, the most white cat I have ever seen! His skin is all pink, not a speck of another color anywhere. LOL, he’s a monster cat, too…I believe that he remained kitten sized for about a week, LOL, then, he was this huge cat that we love

aw. mine took awhile to lie in hers. I thought she never would. she only last month started sleeping in it, and I think I finished it in January or February.

LOL, he did go straight for the box that my yarn came in today…I mean, he made a bee line to it…out it went, so, I guess he decided the bed was better than nothing :roflhard: :rofling:
