Kira's ABC Blanket

[I]When I saw this pattern on Ravelry, I knew I had to make it…so I’m giving it to my Granddaughter for her 4th Birthday in October. It is lavender…I haven’t washed it or blocked it yet. I used Caron One Pounder (took 2 of them and a part of a third). I think I’m going to enter it at our County Fair.

I’d vote for it! You go, Merry! I think you’re awesome, and your crocheting is just fabulous! What a wonderful gift for your granddaughter too!

Gorgeous!! A lot of work too, Good Luck at the fair.

What a beautiful blanket! Your granddaughter will love it.

Can you link the pattern for us? I couldn’t find it and I love the clarity of the letters. :???:

None of the charts I’ve found are as clear as these.

Here it is! http://www.crochetnmore.com/babysabcsafghan.htm

Great job on the blanket!
Thanks for the pattern. I’ve seen the blanket before but didn’t save a link.

Did you see the size hook the pattern recommends? No way could I crochet with Simply Soft and a size D hook!

I’m sure they mean it that small so that the stitches will be tight, but I have trouble using a G hook with worsted weight, much less a D.

Oh my! :faints: Impressive, you should DEFINITELY enter it into the fair! Are those all bobbles??? Man that would take forever!

Me too, Pat! I do best with an H or I for baby yarn and a J or K for worsted.

I made this blanket for my Grandson and was very pleased with the result.

Gr8 jobs, mindblowing

Did you enter it at your county fair? If so, how did you do?

Yes, Jack…I did! I won a Blue Ribbon…woohoo…also got a blue ribbon for an Amigurumi Lion! I was so happy…it was lots of fun! I was awarded a check for $7.50! I think I had to pay $20 to enter…LOL!

I love your blanket, beautifully done.Congratulations on winning at the fair,we also need a pic of your lion that won- please.
