Kindle and email

It looks to me as if Kindle users can email each other without going through their computer at all. There may be a small fee per document.

Can any Kindle user confirm this for me? Does anyone know if the original Kindle and Kindle 2 can communicate with each other via email?

I don’t have a Kindle, but they are awesome. My friend has one.

I found this info -

Personal Documents
Kindle makes it easy to take your personal documents with you, eliminating the need to print. Each Kindle has a unique and customizable e-mail address. You can set your unique email address on your Manage Your Kindle page. This allows you and your approved contacts to e-mail Word, PDF documents, and pictures wirelessly to your Kindle for a small per document delivery fee–see details. Kindle supports wireless delivery of unprotected Microsoft Word, PDF, HTML, TXT, RTF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, PRC and MOBI files.

Each Kindle has a page like this I’m sure.

Thank you, Jan! I’ve been stash-busting, saving change, things like that to pinch pennies for a Kindle. Should be there soon!

I have one as does my wife. We love them. There is nothing like shopping for a book from your bed at midnight, buying it and beginning to read it at 12:10.

I have the original Kindle…but only use it for reading…But I absolutely love it
