Kid Cardigan

I am on a knitting baby clothes kick- I am being irresponsible at the moment though, I have 6 projects on the needles and I am starting another one! Anyway, I am making the Cozy Kiddo Cardigan https://www.ashleylillis.com/blog/2020/9/10/cozy-kiddo-cardigan-knitting-pattern and I have a few questions:

  1. In the body section, when dividing for sleeves, it says K 10 (11, 12) STS to first marker, remove marker and place 17 (19, 21) sleeve stitches on piece of scrap yarn, M1(1,1), K 20 (22, 24) back 1 stitches,
What does it mean when it says back 1 stitches? I thought this may be a typo, because those are the stitches for the back, but I just wanted to know if I was missing something.
  2. Put sleeve stitches on DPNs, picking up 1 stitch on body [18 (20, 22) STS] All measurements decrease stitches so that there are 17 STS remaining for start of wristband ribbing
Picking up one stitch on body is confusing to me- I don’t understand

Hello
I think you are correct that the "back 1 stitches " is a typo and it’s just the back stitches. The 1 makes no sense and the stitches add up without it.
On the sleeves, the pick up 1 stitch on the body will be the underarm, to close the hole between the two ends of the sleeve stitch row to make it the full circle in the round. The pick up will be in that M1 that was done each side on the body when the body and sleeves were divided.

Cute cardigan.
