Kf&b

Evening! I’m so confused. My hat pattern says:

“Next two rounds: Knit to last st, kf&b (k1, kf&b, k1, kf&b). 130 st.”

I know it’s telling me to make a bauble but do I do that on the last stitch of the row when it said knit to last stitch? What is the 130 mean at the end?

I’m pretty sure this is obvious but I’m very new to knitting

I can’t help you with the kf&b part of your question, but I can tell you that the “130” is the stitch count at the end of that row. In other words, at the end of that row, you will have increased to 130 stitches on your needle.

Welcome to KH. Can you link to your pattern? It’s not allowed on your first post but you can do now.

Yes, like the other poster said, it’s a stitch count. This is how many stitches you should end up with if you’ve done the pattern correctly. It’s a way of checking your work.

130 is the stitch count that you should have after completing the two rows.

not sure which is the question here but if you are asking about the kf&b I do believe it is telling you to knit the same stitch first in the front then around in the back thus increasing your stitch count. Least I think that is part of what you are asking …
