KB1 question

I am working on an aran pattern that says “kb1 = knit into back of next stitch.” I was told by the salesperson at the yarn store that this would produce a twisted stitch that would pop out. I looked at what Amy had but it looked pretty much like a regular knit stitch. Thanks for any help.

Sometimes the differences are subtle, or they don’t even really show up until you knit the next row. I always figure that the person who wrote the pattern had a reason for these little subtleties, so I just go with the flow.

Yes, a twisted stitch is a subtle detail. It becomes much more apparent when several rows (like 5 or more) have been knitted.
