I’m knitting a fairly simple lace scarf, and the first row is knit in garter stitch. The lace pattern starts on the second row, and I have to k2tog a few times. For some reason, in the middle of the row, my work becomes very pointy at one of the places I’ve K2tog, and I can’t figure out why. I’ve done this a million times, but never had trouble till I’ve tackled this pattern. Is there any way I can keep the base even?
Depending on the pattern it may not be even. Is it supposed to have a scalloped edge?
