I am doing a pattern that calls for increasing in every stitch (which I was told here means kfb). I cast on and then purl one row. I am having a hard time doing the increase in the video. Is it done a different way for purl rows?
If you cast on and then purled a row, wouldn’t you have the right side facing for the increase row?
If, though, you’re increasing on the purl row, then you can purl in the front and back, (it’s a bit harder, though.)
Either way, kfb in every stitch is going to be a bit tight. What exactly is the problem?
It was really tight and hard to get the needle through the sitches. And now I realize i increased wrong, I should be increasing like in the video, on a knit row. Ugh. Good thing I was only two rows in. Thanks so much for your reply, it totally cleared up the confusion in my head.
Well, you could also increase on wrong side rows, but honestly, I don’t like purling front and back. Especially purling into back loop.
